dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this paper was to investigate the free-cooling thermal performance of a desiccant and evaporativecooling-assisted-100% outdoor air system (LD-IDECOAS) via experimental measurements in a pilot system. The major componentsof LD-IDECOAS are cooling tower, indirect evaporative cooler, direct evaporative cooler as a free-cooling system. The thermalperformance of the system is investigated under hot and humid climatic condition via installed pilot system. The pilot system ofthe LD-IDECOAS was installed on a office building and 42m2 room area. The automatic control and monitoring system are alsoset up on the pilot system. The cooling performance of free-cooling system can be indicated by effectiveness, and it is obtained byexperimental data of dry-bulb temperature, relative humidity, and flow rate of air at each measurement location.-
