잠복과 분출: 키르기스스탄 민족주의 정치의 특성과 원인

Abstract

Since independence political elite in Kyrgyzstan hasn’t mobilized ethnic nationalism and movement exclusively and aggressively in order to get political consent and support in the level of the whole country. However, politics of exclusive Kyrgyz nationalism has apparently existed in and around the Southern region. Aggressive Kyrgyz nationalism has obviously been shown in Southern region around Osh, however, that has had an inclination to submerge for a long time and to emerge abruptly on the favorable conditions, which is the peculiarities of nationalist emotion and politics in Kyrgyzstan. The reasons are as follows: firstly, there has been week political mobilization of Uzbeks and Russians; secondly, Kyrgyz nationalist politics has been marginalized in the discourse of mainstream politics; thirdly, exclusive Kyrgyz nationalism hasn’t prevailed among political slogans and ideologies for presidential and parliamentary elections.
