- Abstract
- We propose a crowdedness measurement algorithm using an impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) radar sensor without any private issue. The crowdedness measurement algorithm is composed of three stages. In the first stage, we remove the signal of clutters which mean obstacles in the environment and decrease the effect of noise. In the second stage, an in-bound/out-bound analysis of the human who is going in or going out from the sensor’s region is done. Finally in the third stage, signal detection and final crowdedness measurement using the information about the number of humans follows. The performance of the proposed algorithm is proved by experiments about multi-human in the ordinary class room.
