dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a tone reproduction method with the appropriate tone and details of high dynamic range images on the conventional low dynamic range display devices. The proposed algorithm mainly consists of image decomposition using singular value decomposition, a singular value based luminance adjustment, and an image composition process. In the final tone reproduction process, the proposed algorithm combines color and luminance components in order to preserve the color consistency. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves good subjective quality while enhancing the contrast of the image details. | - |
