dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the topology optimization considering high-cycle fatigue life. In the topology optimization, the factors about fatigue analysis such as surface factor and size factor are considered as constants because the boundary of the structure is changed with complexity every step. The fatigue analysis is only dependent on the stress. Thus, the fatigue life constraint can be replaced with the stress constraint which takes into account prescribed fatigue life. The upper limit value of the stress constraint that can withstand given fatigue loading conditions for a specific life time is determined from fatigue data. To confirm the usefulness of the proposed design method, an L-bracket design example is provided.-
