dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the multi-performance structural optimization process of a lower control arm for weight reduction satisfying the variety performance requirements. Topology optimization is applied to obtain the conceptual design by optimization problems that maximize the buckling performance under static stiffness constraints and minimize the weight under durability and permanent displacement constraints. Based on topology optimization results, we perform the shape optimization and obtain the optimal structure whose weight is reduced by 6.9%. It is confirmed that the lightweight lower control arm meets four performance requirements.-
