dc.description.abstractA non-equilibrium electrokinetic (EK) mixer generally had an array of nanochannels to generate a vortex using ion depletion and consequent electroconvection. However, the nanochannels require expensive and complicated fabrication processes. Therefore, we developed a non-equilibrium EK mixer by using a nanoporous membrane fabricated on a microfluidic chip by laser polymerization technique. The nanoporous membranes can be readily fabricated on a chip by laser polymerization technique and can be used for microdialysis or sample preconcentration. Thus, we report that a nanoporous membrane in-situ fabricated on a microchip can be used for a non-equilibrium EK mixer.-
