- Abstract
- 젠더와 관련하여 한정되었던 여가범주의 경계가 변화고 있다. Butler(2008)는 젠더정체성이 변하는데, 그것은 젠더에 대한 동일시 과정, 즉 ‘수행’(doing)이라고 본다. 여가관광영역에서도 젠더화된(gendered) 주체는 도달해야 하는 이상으로서의 젠더를 수행한다. 성장과정, 남편 등과의 관계 등에서 여성으로서의 젠더를 강요받기도 하는 여성들은 일상영역에서 강제되는 젠더정체성을 수행하면서 심리적 갈등을 경험한다. 또한, 여가범주(category)의 경계를 넘기 위해서는 젠더에 대한 가족 및 사회적 인식, 젠더정체성 등으로 어려움을 경험한다. 그러나 분석 결과, 젠더화된 여가범주의 경계 넘기 경험을 통해 사적영역에서의 억압적 경험에서의 일탈 경험과 주체적인 경험을 통하여 젠더(젠더, 섹슈얼리티)정체성의 해체 및 재구성을 경험하게 한다. 젠더화된 여가범주의 경계 넘기 현상을 통해서 여성 주체의 경험을 중심으로 젠더 담론을 형성함으로써 젠더에 대한 균열을 확대하며, 젠더를 불안정하게 한다는 점에서 인간 해방의 의의를 지닌다.
