dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to predict muscle force during a variety of movements. To do this musculoskeletal system of human lower extremity is modeled as multibody system using Hill muscle model. The musculoskeletal system is consist of four segments and seven muscles. Muscle force while rising from a seated position is calculated under the assumption that muscle activation is decided to minimize the energy consumption. We assume that the motion is two-dimensional in sagittal plane and each segments are connected by frictionless revolute joints. And the muscle force were compared with M. I. Ellis"s result that calculated based on EMG signal.-
