dc.description.abstractThe propose of this study is to evaluate the rotation capacity of Welded Unreinforced Flange-Welded web moment connections detailed in compliance with ANSI/AISC 358. In this study, four full-scale one-sided test specimens were made and quasi-static cyclic testing was conducted. The variables of test specimens are the effects of beam depth and strength ratio between beam and panel zone on plastic rotation capacity of WUF-W moment connection. From the test results, it was found that test specimens having deep beam fractured in the beam flange before achieving total interstory drift angle of 0.04 radian required for Special Moment Frames system in ANSI/AISC-341, while shallow beam specimens performed well, achieving total interstory drift angle of at least 0.04 radians.-
