dc.description.abstractAs an important space that decides the first impression of the company, the lobby space of the office should express the characteristics of the company and considerate users" sensibility. This study was conducted for four office buildings bigger than 1,000㎡. For the study method, the case study was carried out by visiting the field. In the aspect of experiencing five senses, first, the incoming of light through the front window was shown to be satisfactory while the application of tactile/auditory elements or use of effective colors were insufficient. Second, in the aspect of continuity, the uses of finishing materials lead rhythmical sense and natural flow of human traffic, but the presentation of various space based on the flow of human traffic was unsatisfactory. Third, the symbolic feelings from the whole space of the lobby were inadequate because sculptures or CI COLOR which expresses the image of the building or the company was passively used. Fourth, in the aspect of behavioral support, the space that induces new behaviors besides the passing through function was unsatisfactory. Fifth, in the aspect of abstract, there was space which could induce users" interest or unordinary daily experiences, which would still be required to be more active space with sensibility. Like above, the lobby space of the office should be designed as pleasant space reflects users" sensibility focusing on human being as getting out of simply functional and standardized space.-
