도보관광객의 환경인식과 심리적 웰빙 - 도보관광 참여자와 비참여자의 비교 -

Abstract

본 연구는 도보관광 참여자와 비참여자의 환경인식과 심리적 웰빙을 비교하였다. 온라인 설문조사 업체인 월드 서베이의 패널집단을 통해 연령과 지역이 편중되지 않도록 설정한 전국민 조사를 통해 최종 300명의 유효표본이 수집되었다. 연구결과, 도보관광 참여자와 비참여자의 환경인식과 심리적 웰빙 수준에는 유의가 차이가 발견되었다. 구체적으로, 도보관광 참여자의 심리적 웰빙은 비참여자에 비하여 높은 수준을 보여 선행연구의 결과를 지지하였으나, 환경인식에서는 오히려 도보관광 비참여자가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과로부터, 도보관광객은 환경을 보호하고 보전하려는 의무적인 관점보다는 수려하고 청정한 자연환경에서 얻을 수 있는 편익을 중요시하는 성향이 더 우세한 것으로 나타났다.

Comparison between participants and non-participants on walking tourism was examined in this study. Data were collected through an online survey method using World Survey(a on-line survey company) from November 2009 to January 2010. The Questionnaire was e-mailed to panel members of the World Survey. Results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups in new environmental paradigm and psychological well-being. Specifically, psychological well-being of participants on walking tourism was higher than non-participants as expected, while new environmental paradigm of participants on walking tourism was lower than non-participants against our expectations.
