- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to suggest a solution of improving management system to develop a comprehensive master plan of historical and cultural environments. This study analyzed the current legal system and the management system of Jongno and Kanazawa approved by historic machizukuri plan in Japan, then suggested improvement guidelines. First, build the administrative system that links between the cultural-related departments and urban planning departments. Second, revise the district related historic and cultural environments to cooperate with other district. Third, legislate a new law for conserving and reutilizing historic and cultural environments.
