dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a content adaptive binary block matching motion estimation algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm categorizes video contents into three groups based on the block complexity. Then, different algorithms are applied to each categorized video region. This paper also presents the architecture of the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm improves motion estimation accuracy in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio of reconstructed frames and has similar level of computational complexity compared with the conventional binary block matching motion estimation algorithms. | - |
