| dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a method of baseball detection method in the hitting area. In the proposed method, baseball trajectory is modeled using baseball positions in the pitching area. Then, the baseball position in the hitting area is predicted using baseball trajectory model. The baseball position is corrected based on the predicted position and the pitching trajectory model is updated using detected baseball. However, baseball position does not detected in the predicted area, we determined the baseball are occluded by the hitter or baseball bat. Experiment results showed that the proposed method can detect baseball position accurately in the hitter area despite of hitter or baseball bat swings | - |
