지역진단 지표개발과 지역발전방향에 관한 연구

Abstract

This paper attempts to develop indicators for evaluating regional growth status and to present regional growth strategies. The indicators consists of 5 components including economic performance, infrastructure, social-cultural resources, living environment, and natural environment. The five components are weighted using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) method based on the interview of planner experts and socio-economic data of the 31-city in Gyeonggi province, Korea. The 31-city in Gyeonggi province is largely classified into 4-type region according to the degree of regional development; a developed region, a potentially developed region, a development-suspended region, a stagnated region. Finally, the paper suggests the policy direction for each type of a region.
