- Abstract
- Purpose The purpose of this study is to find out which factors are necessary that Korean medical institutions find a larger market abroad.
Design/Methodology/Approach This study conducted a Delphi survey with 15 experts including 11 hospital directors and related institution experts, who promoted overseas advancement of medical institutions. Also, this research confirmed the content validity ratio (CVR), convergence, and stability of variables, which were selected through previous related studies. Then, Delphi investigation was conducted.
Findings Excluding 4 of the 29 variables selected through previous studies, the panel of experts agreed on 25 variables as a factor, which is necessary that Korean medical institutions find a larger market abroad.
Research Implications There is insufficient research on Korea’s medical institution overseas expansion. With regarding the situation, this study presented current status data related to overseas entry into Korean medical institutions, and conducted research using Delphi method for experts.
