dc.description.abstractLiquid desiccant air-conditioning systems achieving decoupled humidity control have drawn much attention as an alternative to conventional air-conditioning systems in terms of its energy saving potential and improvement of indoor airquality. The purpose of this paper is to present a technical review of the liquid desiccant air-conditioning systems. On theinternational side, the liquid desiccant systems have already been widely commercialized, however they need to be furtherdeveloped via application of advanced technologies and system optimization process. On the domestic side, the applicationof the liquid desiccant systems is still evaluated on a laboratory-scale, therefore their on-site long-term performance shouldbe demonstrated for commercialization, which can accelerate the realization of zero-energy buildings.-
