dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to present patterns for the development of a pattern language for a smart classroom. For this, we analyzed 8 documents that suggest guidelines for smart classrooms. The study was conducted through literature analysis and a series of draft pattern extraction processes. First, the guidelines for smart general classrooms were collected and common elements covered in three or more literatures were derived. Next, the patterns were extracted through the derived elements. In this process, patterns selected from the 253 original patterns suggested by Alexander were used or transformed, and new patterns were added. Next, the results of analyzing the characteristics of the patterns are as follows. The characteristics of the draft pattern of the smart general classroom are described in four categories: accessibility, scalability, flexibility, and efficiency. In addition, we presented the patterns by classifying them into four categories: spatial arrangement, spatial characteristics, spatial concept, and spatial composition. It is expected that the pattern presented in this study can be used as a reference for the design of smart classrooms in the future. A further study is needed to verify the validity of the pattern.-
