시선추적기법을 활용한 환경지각 관점에서 예각필지의주시 특성 연구- 서울 역사도심 종로구와 중구를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 종로구와 중구를 대상으로 도시화가 진행되는 과정에서 도시 개발과 토지 분할 및 이동 등으로 대지 형태나 도로와의 관계에 의해 형성된 예각의 각도를 가지는 교차로의 예각필지에주목한다. 예각필지는 부정형의 형상을 가지고 있어 자투리땅이라는 인식이 있지만, 결절점이라는특성을 갖고 있는 교차로 예각필지의 공간적 가치를 도시구조적 차원이 아닌 인간 행동의 관점에서실증 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 시선추적기법을 활용한 예각필지의 주시 특성 분석 결과를 정리하면 첫째, 활용 용도에 따라 다른 주시 경로 패턴을 보이고 있음이 나타났다. 둘째, 예각필지는 주변 환경에 비해 시선이 많이 집중되며 시각적 주의를 끌고 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 다른 영역에비해 주시 시간이 긴 것으로 예각필지를 이해하기 위해 많은 시간을 소비했음을 확인하였다. 따라서비효율적인 활용으로 부정적인 인식이 존재하는 도심 내 자투리땅을 효율적으로 활용하기 위해 도시설계적 관점에서 시각을 고려하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

In the urbanization process in Jongno-gu and Jung-gu, this study focuses on acute-angelparcels of intersections with acute angles formed by land types or roads due to urbandevelopment, land division, and movement. Although there is a perception that theacute-angel parcel is a small land because it has an irregular shape, this study aims toempirically analyze the value of the space of the intersection acute lot, which has thecharacteristic of a nodule, not at the macroscopic urban structural level. The results ofthe study are summarized as follows. First, when summarizing the results of analyzingthe gaze characteristics of acute parcels using the gaze tracking technique, it was foundthat different gaze path patterns were shown depending on the purpose of use. Second,it was confirmed that the acute angle parcel attracts more attention and visual attentionthan the surrounding environment. Third, it was confirmed that the gaze time was longerthan that of other areas, and that much time was spent to understand the acute angleparcel. Therefore, a urban design perspective considering visual is needed to be understoodfor the efficient use of small land in the city where negative perceptions exist due toinefficient use.
