In this paper, we propose a new miniaturized 2 × 2 MIMO monopole-type antenna to achieve the intended target frequencies of 2.4-2.5 GHz and (5.125-7.125 GHz) Wi-Fi 7 dual-band. The proposed antenna used series, parallel, and shunt capacitors to control the input impedance matching; and used different inductor values to control frequencies for lower and higher bands. According to the simulation and measurement results, the proposed antenna achieved a -6 dB bandwidth of 510 MHz (ranging from 2.20 GHz to 2.71 GHz) in the lower band, and a -6 dB bandwidth of 2080 MHz (ranging from 5.12 GHz to 7.20 GHz) was achieved in the higher band. Moreover, the average total efficiency of 58.3% from 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz in the lower band and 45.6% from 5.125 GHz to 7.125 GHz in the higher band were achieved. The measured antenna radiation pattern also showed satisfactory antenna radiation performance. This proposed miniaturized 2 × 2 MIMO antenna will have strong prospects in the development of mobile communication applications.-
