화상 집단상담 내담자의 집단 역동 경험에 관한 합의적 질적 연구

Abstract

목적 본 연구는 대면 집단상담을 경험한 집단원의 관점에서 본 화상 집단상담의 과정에서 나타나는 집단 역동 경험을 확인하기 위한목적에서 수행되었다. 방법 대면 집단상담과 화상 집단상담을 모두 경험한 내담자 중 10명을 대상으로 2021년 7월부터 9월까지 심층면담을 진행하였고, 수집된 자료들은 질적 연구방법 중 합의적 질적 분석(CQR) 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 결과 분석 결과 총 4개의 영역, 12개의 범주, 28개의 하위범주가 도출되었으며 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 공간이 주는고유한 경험은 타인과의 경계 유지와 집단에의 몰입 정도로 나타났다. 둘째, 집단원들과의 관계는 분위기에 따라 달라지는 집단원들의 자기개방, 조금은 힘든 집단원들 간 라포 형성, 그럼에도 연결감을 느끼며 시작하는 유대감으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모니터에서의상호작용 경험에서는 현장감의 부족도 집단 역동을 막지는 못함, 눈치를 살피며 이루어지는 상호작용, 전지적 시점의 모니터링, 집단 내 갈등 촉발로 나타났다. 넷째, 화상 방식에 대한 선호는 화상 방식의 효율성, 비밀보장과 사생활 보호, 화상 도구와 프로그램의활용으로 나타났다. 결론 화상 집단상담을 경험한 내담자들을 통해 대면 집단상담과 비교했을 때 집단 역동이 어떠했는지 구체적으로 살펴보고 화상집단상담에서의 실질적인 효용성과 앞으로의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

Objectives This study was conducted to examine the group dynamics experience during video group counseling, focusing on the perspectives of group members who have undergone in-person group counseling. Methods In-depth interviews were conducted from July to September 2021 with 10 participants who had experienced both in-person and video group counseling, and the collected data were analyzed using the consensual qualitative research (CQR) method. Results The analysis resulted in a total of 4 areas, 12 categories, and 28 subcategories, and the main findings are as follows. Firstly, the online space was characterized by a unique experience marked by maintaining boundaries with others and a degree of immersion in the group. Secondly, relationships with group members were represented as self-disclosure of group members depending on the atmosphere, rapport between group members that is somewhat difficult to form, and bonding that starts with a sense of connection still exists. Thirdly, the interactive experience on monitors was summarized as lack of realism does not prevent group dynamics, interaction formed while being watchful of others, omniscient monitoring, and conflict sparked within the group. Lastly, preferences for the video method were demonstrated in efficiency of video, confidentiality and privacy, and utilizing video tools and programs. Conclusions This study extensively examined the group dynamics by analyzing the experiences of participants who underwent video group counseling in comparison to in-person counseling and also discussed the practical efficacy of video group counseling and its future implications.
