dc.description.abstractThe primary objective of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of domestic research trends within the field of atmospheric environment over the past four decades based on advanced text mining techniques. A comprehensive analysis was made using the datasets of 1919 peer-reviewed scholarly articles, published in the Journal of the Korean Society for Atmospheric Environment (KOSAE) over the period of 1985 to 2022. The findings of this analysis conspicuously underscore that investigations have been most robustly pursued in the realms of particulate matter (PM) with respect to the concentration levels and temporal changes along with the identification of sources pertaining to chemical compounds present in the atmosphere. The outcomes derived from a rigorous application of Term Frequency (TF), Term Frequency- Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), and N-gram analyses collectively reveal a prevailing and sustained research emphasis on PM emissions throughout the preceding four decades. This prolonged focus on PM emissions emerges as the principal thematic discourse within the examined research landscape for the future.-
