| dc.description.abstract | This work presents a comprehensive characterization of a magnetron cavity with loading, employing both conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) and finite element method (FEM) simulations. The focus of the investigation includes the derivation of the dispersion curve and a comparative evaluation of the loading effect, with specific emphasis on the load Q values obtained from both simulations. The dispersion curve provides critical insights into the electromagnetic wave propagation characteristics within the magnetron structure, facilitating a deeper understanding of the magnetron's performance. The comparative analysis sheds light on the advantages and limitations of each simulation method in predicting the Q value for various loading strengths. The results presented in this study contribute to the refinement and optimization of magnetron cavity designs, offering valuable insights into the electromagnetic characteristics and performance metrics. The integration of both CFDTD and FEM simulations enhances the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the cold test simulation analysis, paving the way for advancements in magnetron technology and microwave device engineering. | - |
