| dc.description.abstract | Recently flash memory devices have been widely used in mobile storage systems. Users run various applications that require frequent access to data in the storage. However, the storage data access is usually handled through several software layers in host systems, and therefore the storage performance may be affected by individual software layers as well as sophisticated interaction between them. In this paper, we analyze the behavior of individual software layers involved in data access operations in a mobile device and find the layers that significantly contribute to performance degradation. The performance impact of IO schedulers in Android systems is also investigated. | - |
