- Abstract
- A single-input single-output (SISO) thermal system modeling with disturbances is proposed to identify thermal charcteristics in the ballscrew system. Friction torque generated from the ballscrew interface between the shaft and the nut, and convective heat transfer coefficient around the ballscrew are estimated by temperature measurements on and around the ballscrew unit as well as nonlinear least square fitting of the SISO model. Validity of the devised key thermal parameter identification method is verified through experiments.
