코리빙 하우스의 현관 계획에 따른 거주민의 영역성과 공동체감 형성에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 코리빙 하우스에서 공동체 의식 형성에 영향을 미치는 다양한 건축적 요소 중 현관 계획에 초점을 맞추어, 거주자의 영역성과 공동체감 형성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로 코리빙 하우스 거주자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 영역에 따른 행태를 분석하여 거주자들이 인지하는 영역의 경계를 파악하였다. 그 결과, 코리빙 하우스의 현관 계획이 공유 공간 내에서의 영역성을 강화하여, 거주자들이 공유 공간을 보다 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 도움을 준다는 사실이 확인되었다.

This study aims to propose effective architectural planning strategies for co-living houses, a housing model that has emerged in response tothe rising number of single-person households among young adults. The research emphasizes the significance of the entrance area as thestarting point of personal space in Korean culture, where the practice of removing shoes before entering personal spaces is deeply ingrained. Based on this cultural context, the study hypothesizes that the design of entrance spaces and shared living areas in co-living houses caninfluence residents’ sense of belonging, territoriality, and community spirit. To test this hypothesis, a survey was conducted among residentsof co-living houses in Seoul to analyze their behaviors in shared spaces. The findings reveal that the location and design of the entrancesignificantly affect residents’ perception of the "starting point of home." The results highlight that cultural practices, such as removing shoes,contribute to shaping territorial boundaries and fostering a sense of community among residents. These insights underline the importance ofentrance design in enhancing the social and spatial dynamics of co-living environments.
