RCEP 무역원활화가 중국 제조업 수출시장 점유율에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 RCEP 회원국 간 무역원활화를 증진시키고, 중국의 제조업 수출 점유율을 제고하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 RCEP 체결 이전 기간(2013~2019년)의 패널 데이터를 활용하여 회원국 간 무역원활화 수준을 분석하였으며, 중력모형을 적용하여 RCEP 무역원활화가 중국 제조업 수출 시장 점유율에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) RCEP 무역원활화는 중국 제조업 수출 시장 점유율을 유의미하게 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. (2) RCEP의 무역원활화 수준은 여전히 개선의 여지가 크며, 특히 인프라와 제도적 측면에서의 개선이 무역원활화 수준 향상에 효과적일 것으로 보인다. (3) 중국 제조업 수출의 시장 점유율은 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 무역원활화 수준의 향상과 함께 이러한 추세는 계속될 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구 결과는 RCEP 회원국 간 무역원활화 수준을 강화하고, 중국의 제조업 수출 시장 점유율 확대에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to enhance trade facilitation among RCEP member countries and increase China’s manufacturing export share. This study uses panel data from the pre-RCEP period (2013-2019) to assess the trade facilitation among RCEP member countries, and applies the gravity model to evaluate the impact of RCEP trade facilitation on China's manufacturing export market share. The results show that (1) RCEP trade facilitation significantly increases the market share of China's manufacturing exports. (2) The RCEP trade facilitation level still has a lot of room for improvement, especially in terms of infrastructure and system, which will effectively improve the level of trade facilitation. (3) The share of China's manufacturing exports continues to grow, and will continue to do so as the level of trade facilitation improves. These findings are conducive to strengthening the level of trade facilitation in RCEP member countries and increasing the market share of China's manufacturing exports.
