| dc.description.abstract | Burst signals play a crucial role in modern wireless communication systems, offering enhanced security and robustness by effectively reducing the probability of interception and avoiding interference. In non-cooperative contexts, blind detection of burst signals is particularly challenging due to the absence of prior information regarding their timing and duration, as such development of algorithms specifically targeting burst signals is essential. As a preliminary step, performance analysis of conventional signal detection algorithms for burst signals can provide valuable insights and serve as a foundation for designing novel detection algorithms for burst signals. In this paper, we analyze the operational mechanism of conventional algorithms and evaluate their performance through simulations conducted under varying conditions such as signal duration, periodicity, and symbol rate. Based on the analysis, we present the most appropriate approach for developing a novel burst signal detection algorithm in non-cooperative contexts. | - |
