dc.description.abstractResearch to develop new electrode materials in Li-ion batteries has been actively pursued to-satisfy all the needs of electric vehicles including high energy densities, high power, and outstanding cycling performances. In this chapter, technical problems related to the-high--performance materials for lithium-ion automotive batteries were reviewed, and the technical issues of Li ion automotive batteries that remain to be worked out in the near future were also discussed for the their successful implementation in transportation systems.-
