dc.description.abstractThis document briefly summarizes the status of an ongoing project concerning the assessment, validation, improvement and documentation of physics models for electron-photon transport relevant to multi-disciplinary experimental applications, including medical imaging simulation. Recent results on Geant4 electron backscattering validation are summarized. More extensive documentation can be found in dedicated publications in IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science.-
