dc.description.abstractThe effects of TiO2 nanoparticles on the properties of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) were studied. Plasticized PVC causes a deterioration of mechanical properties and plasticizer migration over time. To solve this problem, PVC/TiO2 composites were fabricated for improving its properties and preventing plasticizer migration. PVC/TiO2 composite samples using di(octcyl phthalate), di(octyl terephthalate) and di(octyl maleate) were prepared by twin-screw extruder. Mechanical and thermal properties of composites were analyzed. Migration and exudation behavior of the plasticizer was measured using the ASTM method and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).-
