- Abstract
- Nearest neighbor interpolation, bilinear interpolation, bicubic interpolation and b-spline interpolation are used in various fields. There are many method of weighted distance, and a cubic function, one of the weighted distance method, is typically used for bilinear interpolation. In this paper, we propose a sine function for weighted distance instead of the cubic function. By using sine function as a new weighted distance, we gain more curvature than using cubic function as a weighted distance. In this paper, we discuss the differences on PSNR values of bilinear interpolation, cubic function and sine function for weighted distance.
