dc.description.abstractNowadays, traditional one-way cable television communication is gradually combine with various service and be supposed to support two-way communication. However, this evolution means we must face the possible collision and congestion problem. Order to handing this problem, one of the effective way is compress the cable signal. We choose the Data Over Cable System Interface Specifications 3.0 (DOCSIS3.0) as the basic to test the performance of Linear Quantization and Non-linear Quantization. Then find the more acceptable compression method.-
