- Abstract
- A 60GHz Yagi-Uda circular array antenna with omni-directional pattern for millimeter-wave WBAN applications is proposed. Center fed octagonal plates is used for feeding 8 Yagi-Uda antennas located at the vertices of top and bottom octagonal plates. In order to improve the gain, each arm of dipole element is bent. The simulated 10-dB return loss bandwidth is 4085 MHz (57.17 GHz - 62.02 GHz) which covers a potential frequency band of 5G communication. The simulated results show that the proposed antenna has an omni-directional radiation pattern toward the body surface with the maximum gain of 2.86 dBi at 60 GHz.
