- Abstract
- In an LTE system, random access is used for several purposes including initial registration and short message services. In random access procedure, message is transmitted after random access packet transmission. For a remote station, it is important to transmit message with low power consumption as well as random access packet. In this paper, error performance of message is presented with channel-adaptive random access in an LTE system. The results show that channel-adaptive random access can achieve significant performance improvement compared with conventional random access.
