dc.description.abstractTo achieve robust design optimization, it is important to reduce the number of design variables because of the high computational costs. Therefore, a sensitivity analysis that considers the variation of performance due to manufacturing tolerance needs to be investigated. This paper thus suggests a sensitivity analysis method using the analytical variance of the performance. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed for the sensitivity analysis and an orthogonal array using a combination of the inner and outer array was used. The proposed method was applied to an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), and the results were compared with the Taguchi robust design method. Finally, the validity was confirmed through a Monte Carlo simulation (MCS).-
