| dc.description.abstract | A novel mm-wave phased array antenna for 5G smartwatch applications is proposed. The proposed array antenna consists eight rectangular slot antenna elements that are feed by inverted L shaped feed line and AMC reflector with 3 × 13 unit cells. The proposed array is designed to have near hemi-spherical coverage along with the high gain. The antenna performances on the human tissue phantom are investigated. The proposed array has good S-parameter characteristics in the frequency band ranging from 27.9 GHz to 29.1 GHz and mutual-coupling between antenna elements is less than -10 dB. The proposed array antenna has near hemispherical beam coverage suitable for 5G smartwatch application. © Institution of Engineering and Technology.All Rights Reserved. | - |
