- Abstract
- Research about method of adaptive cruise control considering fuel efficiency was performed but research about design of adaptive cruise controller considering various performances is insufficient. Since traffic condition in city is changed drastically such as cars cutting in traffic congestion area that design of controller considering various performances including fuel efficiency is needed. Accordingly, this research construct ACC system by quantifying fuel efficiency, tracking performance, smoothness of acceleration and deceleration of target vehicle. Since controller’s performances are coupled with vehicle dynamic system that controller’s performances are improved through designing vehicle and controller by considering coupling relation. Therefore, purpose of this research is construct framework of multidisciplinary design optimization by considering coupling relation of vehicle and controller. Optimum design of vehicle and controller parameters are carried out through optimum design problem formulation by implementing kriging surrogate model considering simulation time.
