dc.description.abstractThis paper presents optimal sphere shapes in hollow slabs by using finite elelment method program. Recently, various types of reducing slab`s self-weight systems are studied as the height and width of the building structures rapidly increase. Hollow slab system is widely known on of the effective reducing slab`s self-weight. Hollow slab has hollow spheres, the size of vertical members like wall and columns can be smaller and slab span can be longer. A capacity of hollow slab is influenced by hollow sphere shapes. Therefore, In this study, several hollow slabs which have different hollow sphere shapes are analyzed by using finite element method program in orser to derive optimal hollow sphere shapes.-
