dc.description.abstract | College of Engineering at Hanyang University first developed the course called “ Practical Engineering Research" in 1998. In this course, students can participate in research projects of professors in order to learn creative thinking and research experience applicable to industry. The student who chooses one project among others proposed by professors makes his/her own specified proposal for the study, then conducts the research during the term. The student presents his/her research result at the end of the term. The course is open to sophomores to seniors and can be taken up to four terms. The course “ Practical Engineering Research" has been operated for 10 years. Here, the course run by the College of Engineering is summarized focusing in particular on its effectiveness for the development of academic-industrial cooperation. We evaluated the effectiveness through feedback from the industry and a questionnaire survey taken by the students in the course. | - |
