dc.description.abstractIn this study, a mechano-chemical process by means of a high speed bead mill was employed to obtain nano-sized particle and homogeneous mixing of W-Cu composite powder. Ultrafine WO3-CuO powder mixtures were first prepared by bead milling of starting WO3 and CuO powders slurry in aqueous state. High disperse W-20wt%Cu nanocomposite powder with nanosized particle below 100nm was successfully fabricated by the reduction treatment of this WO3-CuO powder mixtures. The W-Cu nanocomposite powder revealed high sinterability, and the microstructure of sintered W-Cu specimen showed that Cu-phase is homogeneously distributed around nano-sized W particles of below 200 nm.-
