dc.description.abstractThis paper presents optimal hollow sphere shapes in hollow slab by using finite element method program. Recently, various types of reducing slab self-weight systems are studied as the height and width of the building structures rapidly increase. Hollow slab systems is widely known one of the effective reducing slab self-weight. Hollow slab has hollow spheres within the slab in order to reduce slab self-weight. Because of reducing slab self-weight by hollow spheres, size of vertical elements like wall and columns can be smaller and slab span can be longer. A capacity of Hollow slab is influenced by hollow sphere shapes. Therefore, In this study, several hollow slabs which has different hollow sphere shapes are analyzed by using finie element method program in orser to derive optimal hollow sphere shapes.-
