dc.description.abstractPharmaceutical Biotechnology is an increasingly important area of science and technology, contributing to design and delivery of new therapeutic drugs, the development of diagnostic agents for medical tests, and the beginnings of gene therapy for correcting the medical symptoms of hereditary diseases. The biotech industry is now 39-year-old. A steady stream of therapeutic agents has not only opened up new ways of treating untreatable diseases but also contributed much to our understanding of human biology.-
