Sphericity of a Protein via β-complex

Abstract

Biology is a hot area of research in these days. One of the hottest issues is about the structure of bio-molecules which has been known one of the most important factors related to the functions of the protein. Hence, the global and local descriptors of the spatial structure are often needed. In this paper, we provide a measure for the sphericity of a protein. The measure is based on a recent concept of the -complex.
