dc.description.abstractProbe-typed carbon nanotube (CNT) point-emitters are fabricated by attaching CNT bundles onto the AFM tip using dielectrophoresis method. Non-uniform ac electric field was applied between the gold-coated AFM tip and the flat gold electrode to attract the CNT bundles dispersed in ethanol. SWCNT and DWCNT synthesized by arc discharge method in hydrogen ambient were used to fabricate the voltage than the DWCNT point-emitter and large field emission current can be drawn from the SWCNT point-emitter than DWCNT point-emitter at the same voltage.-
