dc.description.abstractTwo-dimensional (2D) ordered benzenethiol (BT) self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) were obtained using displacement method and cyclohexanethiol (CHT) molecular template, although BT on gold generally does not form ordered SAMs. In addition, the well ordered BT SAMs were formed by increasing the solution temperature. And we observed the surface structure of BT, benzyl mercaptan (BM), and benzeneethanethiol (BET) by altering the solution temperature. From this study, we found that well ordered BT SAM can be achieved by displacement method and BT, BET SAMs show high quality of surface structure when both molecules were formed at high solution temperature.-
