dc.description.abstractThe analysis of protein structure is one of the most important issues in life science. The atomic region, which is defined as the Voronoi cell of the atom, can provide some useful information such as atomic volume, surface area and the number of neighbors. To precisely calculate the Voronoi cell, it is important to consider the atomic radius which is different for each atom type. The Voronoi diagram of atoms conveniently reflects the size difference precisely, not like the previous methods such as The Voronoi diagram of point set and power diagram. In this paper, the properties of Voronoi cell of individual atoms and distinguishing atomic groups in protein are calculated via The Voronoi diagram of atoms from a number of proteins already known their structure.-
