dc.description.abstractIf both the permittivity and permeability of certain materials are negative, the negative refraction results in. This kind of materials is called the left-handed materials. Since these materials exhibit various interesting phenomena, which can provide us very important opportunity of novel applications. We developed a simple method to directly calculate the electric and magnetic energies to derive the effective capacitance and inductance for the magnetic resonance frequencies of some magnetic metamaterials based on cut-wire pairs.-
