dc.description.abstractPolystyrene/Ag/polypyrrole composite particles were prepared by the redox reaction between AgNO3 and pyrrole monomer. The composite particles have polystyrene particles as a core and polypyrrole containing Ag nanoparticles as a shell. AgNO3 was used as both an oxidizing initiator and a precursor of Ag particles. The effects of AgNO3 concentration, ethanol concentration, stabilizers, etc on the formation of composite particles were investigated. The characteristics of the composites were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), FT-IR, XRD and TGA.-
